Wine, Popcorn and our Top 5 watch list!
A BIG thank you to Cupcake Vineyards for sponsoring this post! All opinions are my own.
Angelis and I are huge fans of having wine, popcorn and a good movie or series to watch at home. So we wanted to share Angelis’ and my recent favorites to watch at the moment, alongside a glass of Cupcake Vineyards wine.
We like to be inspired and watch positive shows that educate us or entertain us with a positive message. Scary movies or gory thrillers don't hold a place in our home because we wouldn't be able to sleep at night and the visions would stay with us for days after! We have many friends who thrive on that type of entertainment, but it's just not for us.
Let's talk about Cupcake Vineyards. Cupcake was actually the wine Angelis and I shared on our first date! She hosted a dinner party with her Brazilian friends and someone had brought the Cabernet Sauvignon that night. So working with them on this post brings back some really special memories :)
If you go to their website you will see the words "Crisp, Vibrant, Bold and Berry" and that is exactly what describes their flavor profiles for their Rosé, White, Red and sparkling wines.
In the winter, a bottle of their Merlot or Cabernet Sauvignon is a common pairing for our dinners but in the spring and summer we love the lighter taste of the brand’s Pinot Grigio and Rosé, which are perfect for a special night in. A toast to chilling out with popcorn, great wine and an inspiring watch!

HERE ARE ANGELIS’ AND MY TOP 5 SERIES OR MOVIES TO WATCH (not in any particular order):
ONE STRANGE ROCK (National Geographic)
If you want to truly understand the wonders of Earth and appreciate our plant as a living and breathing source of life.. this is the series for you! It dives into the personal memoirs of eight astronauts who have an intimate perspective and experience exploring the planet from outer space. Our minds were literally blown by this show and wish I had this series to watch in school.
GRACE AND FRANKIE (Netflix Original)
It is so easy to fall in love with these two characters brought to life by Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin. They were not fond of each other at all through their lives and find out after decades of marriage that their husbands, who are business partners, have fallen in love with each other and want to get married. Of course, this news is devastating and as their lives seem to fall apart around them, they "find" each other and form an unexpected relationship.
ATYPICAL (Netflix Original)
This is a coming of age and really heartfelt comedy series about a teenager on the autism spectrum.
Through inspiring and emotional stories of real people with real illnesses, we are reminded that the mind and body have miraculous healing powers. HEAL not only explores the minds of Reputable scientists and spiritual healers but follows people on their healing journey to give us a really in-depth experience. We came away lifted and enlightened from watching this.
THE HATE YOU GIVE (Movie)
Angelis and I were deeply affected by this movie. Angelis was in tears for most of it. It really brought home to us the #blacklivesmatter movement happening here in the US. This movie was a sophisticated adaptation of the novel by Angie Thomas and the lead character is a young woman who has to switch between two worlds - the poor, mostly black neighborhood where she lives, and a wealthy, mostly white prep school that she attends. She is forced to face pressure from all sides and she has to find her voice and stand up for what she believes in.
We hope everyone has a wonderful week!
All our love
Angelis and Nina
